Bodegas Faustino, part of the Familia Martínez Zabala group, is excited to unveil its new campaign, which proudly highlights something “extremely valuable that represents and distinguishes us”: a face and a name.
This identity that “makes us different and unique” has made Faustino the best-selling Rioja in the Gran Reserva category and one of the world's top 20 most admired wine brands.
The renowned design of the Faustino label, featuring its Gothic typography, stands as a symbol of both quality and heritage, making every bottle instantly recognizable. With the campaign slogan, THERE ARE FACES YOU NEVER FORGET, Faustino proudly embraces and emphasizes the values that define the brand.
The campaign will leverage contemporary media channels to connect with a broader audience while reinforcing Faustino´s long-standing identity. Through this campaign, Faustino aims to enhance its brand positioning and boost its spontaneous recognition worldwide.
Launching in September 2024, the THERE ARE FACES YOU NEVER FORGET campaign will feature a wide range of media outlets, including national and regional press, digital platforms, radio, outdoor advertising, and international media.
60 years of Faustino I Gran Reserva
This campaign arrives at a momentous time for Bodegas Faustino, as it celebrates the 60th anniversary of Faustino I Gran Reserva in 2024. This flagship wine, a leader in the most prestigious Rioja export category, is enjoyed in over 140 countries and continues to earn accolades year after year.
Faustino I’s story is deeply rooted in family tradition, now in its fourth generation. First released in 1964 with the 1958 vintage, it was Julio Faustino Martínez, the third generation of the Martínez Zabala family, who rebranded the family’s wines for the international market, paying tribute to his father with the name Faustino.
The iconic design of the Faustino I bottle is no accident. Julio Faustino chose to honor his grandfather, Eleuterio, by featuring a Rembrandt painting of a linen merchant on the label. The bottle’s mineral coating, which protects the wine from light, and the traditional mesh that safeguards both label and bottle, further highlight the craftsmanship and care behind Faustino wines.
