Harpers Wine and Spirit Trade Review, also known as Harpers, is a British news service for the wine and spirit industry. Founded in 1878, it is distributed exclusively through subscriptions. It is read across the whole of the beverage industry including producers, distributors, restaurants, hotels, pubs and retailers. Andrew Catchpole is its editor.
In 2009, Wine & Spirit and Harpers Magazine merged to form Harpers Wine & Spirit Trade Review. The magazine was relaunched in 2013 with a renewed digital interface now providing news and analyses in advance of the print magazine. The current owner is Agile Media. It acquired Harpers Wine & Spirit Trade Review from William Reed Business Media in 2015.
In the tasting of wines from Spain, three wines from Bodegas Faustino have achieved a five star rating:
Faustino I Gran Reserva, Faustino V Reserva and Faustino Icon Edition
The 5 stars mean:
In terms of quality, that it is an exceptional wine of great quality and character. In terms of value, that it is well worth the price. In terms of design, that it is simply exceptional. In fact, there will be customers who probably buy the wine just for the bottle.
